URBAN CAT CARE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Where do the consultations take place?
    You may choose to meet us in the comfort of your own home in-person or you may choose our contact-free meeting via Zoom, FaceTime, or Google Meets. In-home consultations will be safely handled by wearing a mask and sanitizing hands before home entry. Let's schedule a consultation!
  • What are your service hours?
    Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm Weekends & Holidays 9:00am - 6:00pm Sitters are dispatched between 9:00am - 6:00pm. Major Holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year’s Eve/Day.
  • Does the same sitter come everytime?
    Our goal is to always pair you with the same sitter each visit. However, there are times when the same sitter will not be able to accommodate you. If a walker request some time off or falls ill. In these rare circumstances our team will assign a temporary fill-in sitter for your cat.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    You can cancel a walk or pet sitting reservation at any time! Just be sure to let us know at least 24 hours in advance for cat sitting reservations, or else the visit will be charged in full. We maintain a strict 24-hour cancellation policy for cat sitting reservations, which is required as a courtesy to our sitters who rely on the income of their pre-set cat sitting reservations to make a living, and who without sufficient notice, aren’t granted the opportunity of making alternate arrangements to pick up additional visits to make up for the loss of income within the time slot that was originally reserved for your scheduled cat sitting reservation. As last minute cancellations and reschedules do cause our sitters to lose valuable work hours. We ask that you limit the amount of cancellations to 3 or 4 per year. A consistent, set schedule encourages our cat sitters longevity and reduces turnover rate, resulting in a consistent cat sitter for you and your cat.
  • When and how do I pay?
    Clients will be billed in the beginning of each week prior to your cat sitting reservation. Clients will be emailed an invoice with payment information.
  • How much notice do I need to book a cat sitting reservation?
    We request that you make your reservation 7 days in advance to ensure a spot. Holidays and weekends are the busiest times for us. Make sure to make a reservation 3-6 weeks in advance.
  • How many sets of keys do you need?
    We prefer two sets of keys in case of emergancy and backup. Keys will be stored securely at our office. Key pickup and drop-off at our office may be arranged by the clients for FREE. If you would like Urban Cat Care to pickup or drop-off keys, there's an additional $10 fee. Urban Cat Care will also pickup/drop off keys with a doorman for free.
